Dropped her
Hey guys,
The modding has begun, picked up some H&R springs from Turner yesterday and had them installed . very happy with the results, perfect drop. This weekend the wheels are getting powder coated semi gloss black, cf diffuser, cf mirror covers, black emblems and possibly an exhaust, I'm up in the air about the exhaust, I'd like to just do mufflers but I am on a budget and they can get expensive, muffler delete is an option to obtain some good sound for now, any suggestions would be appreciate! I am not into heavy modding like I was 10 years ago. I was looking at Import Tuner the other day and showing a buddy at work my old car with a 7 page spread and he was like that wasnt your car so I showed him my name and showed him my DL. lol Good times. |

I live in southern NH. For a moment, I thought I would have the only Melbourne Red M3...oh well, I'll settle for only coupe w/ the carbon roof.
IronManM3, nice looking M3. |

What was the pricing for the springs + installation?
Edit: Add mine to the list from around the area. I have a buddy of mine in Methuen who has a coupe on stock 219Ms. You'll probably see him around. Last edited by DopeM3; 05-14-2013 at 09:14 PM.. |

$307.00 for the springs and although I appreciate dealer/tuner's work and vast knowledge of these vehicles I couldn't justify paying $475 for labor to install springs so my friends brother a " BMW" guy installed them for me for 225.00 and did an excellent job

Not bad on prices.
I may be heading to Portland Maine or even Northern NH in the next month as I have a simple inspection due. Although its a 3 hour drive south I have to do due to my warranty. Any dealers you guys recommend in Southern Maine or northern New Hampshire? |

Only one in NH which is Tulley. They have two locations in Nashua and Manchester. While the latter has a focus on selling CPO vehicles, accordingly, they have service bays and techs to support all service requirements.

Nice man! Yeah, that's ridiculous, $475 is way too much for that. Did you get it aligned after? Or did the $225 includes the alignment?

I run the regular H&R on my 08E90M3 since I have stock shocks that likely have neither the right internal length nor the right valving for substantial lowering or significant increase in spring rates.

welcome! I've seen a few MR e92 M3's (almost got one myself) and an MR E90 M3 but I don't think I've ever seen an MR E93 M3
Did you get the e36 bumpstops with the springs too or did you cut the stock ones? any better pics? from that one pic it looks seriously dropped! you should probably wait a couple weeks for the springs to settle before getting an alignment.. --mike |
