My submission:

Before:

Volk TE-37 Time Attacks
19x8.5 +33
19x10.5 +25

Picked them up from a local who was selling them as he was moving on from the M. I had them stripped and a 3 stage powder coat applied: chrome, a second color, and an automotive clear, all from www.powderbuythepound.com. The effect is a black silver when the light hits it right. I then had the same things done to the aftermarket lug nuts and lock nuts ($120). Following that, I disassembled the center caps,

had the rings blasted, and then painted them Alpine White. The centers themselves I had hard anodized to withstand the rigors of road use.

I then hit up EAS for some custom (appropriate) sized decals. The results:

Geez man your car looks so clean. Take a moment and replace those yellow yoke bulbs with invisabulbs or LED ones that shine amber. When you say your one your 3rd set what are you insinuating happened to the rest? sold/traded or destroyed by the track?

It's overcast today, I'll get some better pics when it's sunny outside....

Edit:

The sun broke through as I was leaving, so I had time to get a few pics...

That looks really good and I'm loving the subtle blue accent rings to match the blue on the OEM roundels. When your looking to change things a bit you could swap out the white Volk stickers for matte black so it would still contrast with the gloss black wheel. Good work, thanks for the pictures!

Thank you. I had 2 sets of center caps done, and the second set has a different color trim ring, as well. I like being able to make small visual changes without really doing too much to accomplish them. I also have another set of turn signal indicators that I'm working on for a little something extra

I agree with your way of thinking in relation to modding. "Less is more" is always best. Thanks for sharing

What method do u guys use to stick on the stickers for the SL's?

I'm extremely worried about messing them up.

Do u use the soapy water spray then squeegee out method?

I am one of the guys that dont like the SL decals after having them on my wheels. They are just your average sticker and I did all 4 of my wheels in 5 minutes. You wont mess anything up.

I would either trash the SL decals and go with original TE37 decals or leave all decals off.

Don't forget about positioning... I just followed the image on the box. Otherwise you might end up with stickers on different spokes - which may or may not bother you but I'm guessing it will if you're concerned about messing them up.

Thanks. But it's nothing compared to your yellow monster. I noticed you've got a roll bar in it and you're in SoCal. Are you planning on running the July Spring Mountain HPDE sponsored by the LA BMW CCA Chapter? I would love to drool over your car in person.
