blue loctite on brembo caliper bolts?

Hey guys. I am in the middle of changing pads on my brembo bbk.

Should I use blue loctite on the two main retaining bolts on my calipers?

They the ones that allow the caliper to float back and forth on the rotor? I never used any on oem pins.

Huh float what? No these are two big ass bolts that get torqued to 85ftlb and hold the caliper to the axle

I use red Loctite on those bolts with my Stoptechs...that's what comes with the kit as well.

That dumb bridge on the brembo caliper is making me wish I got stoptech instead. Anyone wanna swap their stoptech for my brembo?

Must be a different mounting system, oem slide on guide pins that connect to the axle mounting plate.

Not sure what your brakes look like, but i use this tool for my Porsche OEM Brembos. It works perfectly. Actually though, I don't struggle doing it with my fingers either. Just an idea...

Don't use loctite! The manual says no. Here is a link. Torque specs inside.

Also punch out the top pin first (loaded pin). Otherwise it is very difficult (or impossible) to punch out. Lining up the caliper is not a problem if the pads are brand new. I did the procedure recently but don't remember any other tips anymore.

Stoptech should be easier to swap, but the monobloc is pretty easy too IMO.

GREAT TIMING ... I just got back from dinner (cheesecake factory burp! ) and was about to get wrenching on my calipers...

Yea I just torque to 85. Never had issues with them loosening up.
