okay probably just stiffer on the street i would imagine. shouldnt be too unlivable i wouldnt think. did already have to make a ramp to get in and out of the driveway which i hope works.

Interesting, because I didn't know Swift was capable of "creating material". H5S.TW, I'm going to guess it stands for Japanese High 5 Super . Tensile Wire... Hooray.

Cr-Si is sufficient and strong enough for most aftermarket and OEM suspension spring applications. I'm curious to hear more reviews on these springs to see exactly how they compare to "not strong enough short life span" springs made from Cr-Si.

Also, do the bump stops have to be shaved or replaced with these springs..?

It was developed on a coupe, but not specific to the coupe. However, Swift only states couple application at this time although sedans are no different.

No, they don't.

So e36 bumpstops aren't needed, but do they make a difference on the track or with spirited driving?

Not required. Swift did all the R&D with OE E9x M3 bump stops.

A couple of customer are heading to the track after the install...perhaps they will post here.

This is what the customer had to say about the Swift Spec-R springs:

"The package worked great. I was running with some very fast cars at Buttonwillow and the
only thing I gave up was the weight difference on my car. I'ts pretty heavy. The springs with the wheels and tires are a good combination."

Curious... I'm thinking of running camber plates with these springs... any you recommend? do the Vorshlag plates work?

If I get camber plates that work for these springs and later on I upgrade to a coilover setup... do I have to change the whole camber plate? or the spring perch

Vorshlag will work perfectly with these.

Later on, you will just buy additional perches(usually around $75) for your new coilover kit, no need to buy another set of camber plates.

pics of new Swift install

I had Swift springs, e36 M3 bumpstops, and MS spacers (10F/5R...not going for bulldog/rubbing stance) installed last week. I had a 4 wheel alignment this morning and took a few cell phone pics afterwards. Sorry...they look crystal clear on my computer, and fuzzy when I shrink them down to fit in a post. Car is unwashed and has a nice coating of pollen, which was getting worse by the second as I took the pics. I was parked in a flat spot in my driveway under a few giant oak trees.

Car has EDC, ZCP wheels (car is not ZCP), and the tires are 265/30 285/30 Hankook V12s. The ride with EDC in normal is very similar to stock...did not really notice a difference as far as comfort of the ride. Feels more planted in turns. No rubbing at all so far. Haven't tried comfort setting yet, which I pretty much use only on long highway drives. Also have not tried sport setting, which is already bone-jarring with the 30 series tires all around. Might go with 255/35 up front when these wear out.

Are there pictures of the actual springs themselves? I see they are advertised as linear but many pictures make them look progressive rate...

Had these on my evo MR and they were great.

What you are looking at are the helper portion of the spring, those will fully compress once the full vehicle weight is on them.

It has nothing to do with droop travel nor does it adverse affects suspension when it unsettles.

The helper portion is to keep the spring fully seated in zero load conditions. If you have specific questions please PM or email us so we are not taking up space here.
