Yeah, if it was a hardtop, the stiffer chassis would have enabled him to steer around the problem!

OP, I hope nobody was hurt and you have insurance. The rest doesn't matter. Get a hardtop next time.

yes fully insured, in BMW now being fixed, quality car everyone got out with out a scratch, only buy a convertible. but will definatley stay with BMW in the future

on a rainy day.. just coming off a round about the back end swung out... tried to correct it (lack of experience) and went head on into central reservation... hopefully have it back in 2 weeks... been driving a toyota avensis for the last 3 weeks.....yuk
