Here was the car last weekend at Buttonwillow on ARC-8 wheels and Hankook TD 265/295 tires:

(This is the same car as in Post #13 of this thread)

APEX ARC-8
Hyper Silver
18x9.5" ET22 & 18x10.5" ET27
265/35/18 and 295/30/18 Hankook TD soft compound tires
JRZ Suspension (actually the front is not on JRZ in these two pics. The front is stock damper, H&R Race lowering spring, and GC camber street plates. JRZ fronts are going back on on Monday.)

No problems at all with 295/30/18 in the rear. (That was my first time on TD tires. They are unbelievable in terms of how much grip they have. Incredible.) These wheels have seen around 20 punishing track days. They've tasted desert-----ahem----a few times. I've done several drift days on these wheels. They have to deal with the forces of a big brake it. Actually the TD tires added another new element of force because of their grip. You should have seen the AP Racing calipers smoking when I came in after a 15 minute session, and they have dedicated race pads for the track. They ride berms frequently because the JRZ are so compliant on berms. They have been totally solid on the track. Never a hiccup. I have no hesitation at all recommending these wheels as great staple track wheels----light, strong, affordable. Is there a better combination for tracking?

Thanks. Now I know what sort of fender gap to expect when I get my 18s. I'm a bit shocked that it's such a difference compared to 19".

Man, this is gorgeous!

Any more info on 19" wheels in the pipeline? I would love to see both ARC-8 and EC-7 in 19". I love the look of both of these wheels but I would only do one track day a year. For the rest of the year...all street. IMO 18" wheels just look too small for e9x M3's for street use. I think you guys would sell a ton of 19's!

Yes we do! We are expecting to receive samples of them in the coming weeks, and should be releasing them in Quarter 2 of this year. Hold on tight, they are on their way!

Cool... looking forward to seeing them, and getting specs on weight, offsets available, etc.

Damn lol you guys aren't making this an easy decision! haha I was thinking about joining that group buy but since my car is mostly street-driven I'd be very interested in your 19's! Can you give any hints to the design of them? Will they be a totally new design or will it be an up-size of the arc-8 and/or ec-7?

There will be 19" versions of both the ARC-8's and EC-7's in the works, along with a new wheel.

Unfortunately we do not have this exact combination, but here is a blue M3 on Anthracite ARC-8's to give you an idea:

Check out this photo from our last Wallpaper Wednesday:

It is our shop E90 M3 with ARC-8's in 18x10" ET25 square and 275/35/18 Hankook R-S3's. This is the ideal track setup for this platform and best of all, it's a direct fit! No spacers, camber, or fender rolling required; just plug and play!

This car is lowered on B&G Sport Springs. Other modifications include an Akrapovic Exhaust and Mode Carbon GTS Variant 1 front lip.
