I put a fresh coat of polymeric sealant over the C-Quartz that's already on the car. Should help it release after baking on all weekend...

Shhhhh.... Don't scare the rookies away. We need the new guys around to buy the instructors drinks and carry helmets and stuff. Probably in that order.

My shoulder feels like it's been separated.
You know, from all the time I spent holding on to the "oh sh*t" handle through turn 13. ![]()

We had a blast. The weekend went perfect. Really, really looking forward to next year.
Any chance we run CW one day and CCW the next day? That would be awesome! |

What a great weekend, it was really great to meet all the instructors and fellow students. I didn't see many 335s out there, I was driving the blue 335i coupe in Class C. Hope to see you guys out there again soon! I can't wait for the next track day to come.

Thought I'd report on the paint protectant film. It worked really well. It is paint-shield 5720 from General Chemical Corp. The thicker it was the easier it was to take off. I pulled some off at lunchtime today. I ordered directly from General Chemical (can't find the exact url right now.).
Glad everyone had a good time. The E90M3 is a bit of a beast to thrash around. I'd only had it on track 1 day before this school and I'd never run this config before. It seemed to handle things pretty well in stock (except brake pads) form. Gotta get rid of the PS2's though. RE11's on the way soon!

This is pretty easy to install and take off.
It's old school but works and is pretty cheap. http://www.colgancustom.com/colgan_original_bra.html GREAT weekend. AWESOME track too. Can't wait to see the new track next year. .

It could work, if you manage to keep the underside of the bra clean, and then add painter's tape along the edges. But if you're going to go all noob tape on the car, might as well forgo the bra. p.s.: Be on the look out, if you guys are jonesing for more track action, for the May 3rd Auto Club Speedway announcement to go out this week. I've got a couple more administrative stuff to take care of on the back end.

Also FYI, I was mentioning Spring Mountain in July Sunday at Chuckwalla to others and they were all VERY afraid of the weather. .

Roval.
The choices presented to us are as such. I can probably secure a much later, and cooler weekend, but then we'll be forced to allow their club members to drive on our track any time they want. Meaning, if a member shows up in his Radical and wants to drive in our D group? We'll have to let him/her. That'll NEVER fly in the National Ops guidelines. No way, no how. As for the weather? It's not like we haven't run in 100+ degrees weather before. The only difference here is, there's an AIR CONDITIONED CLUB HOUSE. We can probably find enough of the working facilities to keep everyone cool while they're not on track. Maybe if we can show Spring Mountain we're a cool group to run on their track, they'll be inclined to give us a better date for a coming year. Like, oh, say, my original February date.

Sounds good to me. I'm hoping to go, but that was the general census that day around the paddocks.

The racers wouldn't care, they can adapt to pretty much anything. As long as there is some racing, it's all good.
