Yeah, but at what cost ?
Driving on the ring is expensive already today.
And I imagine that your approach (let fewer people in) isn't going to make it cheaper...

Your statement sounds elitist. There are private track day events if you don't want to drive during touristenfahrten. The 'Ring is a magical place for car fans of all income and skill levels. After spending 2 seasons here the ONLY thing I would change is to have separate times for motorcycles and automobiles, for the safety of the riders.

We need a fund manager that can raise capital and buy the place.

Sure that we can all be investors, and have some kinda of ownership of the place.

Welcome to the new "Disney Land."

Lets hope whatever they plan to do with our beloved Ring, that they respect what this track means to all of us.

Right now it's still up in the air since they have not completed the necessary repairs to the track because of the harsh winter.

They need to hurry 'cause VLN races start on the 23rd of this month.

Them and all automakers for that matter. I think the german rivals should just band together and pick it up. With the prices of their cars going up each year. they got the cash.

I wonder if it would be in the best interest of car makers (BMW, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, etc.) who use the Ring to put in a combined offer...seeing how much history and testing they do there. Obviously that contract agreement would have to be ironclad.

All the German automakers should form an entity and purchase it.
