BBQ paint works well. They sell it at Home Depot. I think krylon or rustoleum makes it. That's what I used on mine.

plastidip will burn off. Not designed for high temps.

Well I would if it was on the OEM Exhaust but is on my Eisenmann Race. Don't want to mess it up.

Exhaust tips is much different than exhaust canisters. The tips don't see as high temps.

Why dip the tips when you're going to get the canisters painted anyway? I'd just get everything painted and call it a day.

like I said before I got an Eisenmann Race and don't want to spray it with high temp paint in case I deside to sell I know it won't be the same as the black edition Eisenmann offer.

OK, well you'll still be able to see the silver cans underneath the car. They aren't as prominent as the OEM can is, but you'll still see them. That's why I had my Gintani painted black.

I'm undecided on painting them but maybe I go thru with it in the end! I got a week until I take delivery of my car so that's 7 days of pondering on it.

I just got my Milltek canister/tips Cerakoted. It is like powdercoating but it withstands up to 1900 deg. I paid $125 for media blast and Cerakote. Worth every penny.

Thanks! Can't wait to put it on and see how it looks, as soon as my '13 comes in. For the price, I can't think of a better way for longevity and appearance for an exhaust.

FWIW - I used high-temp black paint from Home Depot on my OEM exhaust tips and canister. It held up very well even through multiple MN winters. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I do understand that with an Eisenman exhaust you may want to take a more professional approach (or something reversible like plasti-dip). I don't think I would go with plasti-dip due to temperature and durability concerns. Let us know how it works out!
