Funny how some people drive a car on track with full people on-board. I find that totally insane and irresponsible as things can turn wrong and make them pay the consequence.

Besides that, an amateur driver should drive a 325i and learn how to drift and re-establish balance before driving an M3. Silly kid.

All good, you gotta pay to play! Get it fixed and try again. No big deal.

Strangely, that's the exact location of an E92 M3 crash that happened when I was there.

Only difference would be more carnage, and the car was black.

My friend was right behind him and saw the whole thing, lost the back and snapped. He was out the car and helping as he was first on the scene. Stayed till the end, track was empty so decided to doughnut and drive off, then got banned for the afternoon.

Its a very unforgiving track and yes, seeing accidents happen on every session really makes you slow down. I kept my helmet on after the first sight of a mangled car.

Can see why they banned in-car cameras though. Makes you drive that little bit quicker.

ROFL dude. As for the video, so this guy took his friends, turned DSC off and made no effort or knowledge to counter the oversteer until the crash as turb0mike said. Afterward he fixed the car, sold it and made a decision to buy... motorbike bike because it's "much cheaper"? Seriously?

I remember my first Nürburgring experience with a BMW 320D last april.
Hard work steering, throttling, braking... more exciting and demanding than a rollercoaster! Even for a Diesel. :-)

But I'd rather experiment and crash on the ring than on the public road.

Some thoughts from someone who actually drove on the ring, not only in GT5:

a) 4 people in the car is no issue. But you have to adjust your speed. If you don't: stupid

b) not wearing a helmet: toll road, no helmet required. Should you consider wearing one? For sure if you drive a car with a rollcage. For sure if you drive a car without side and window airbags. Not so sure if you drive a car with full airbags because it could be counterproductive taking into consideration the additional weight above your neck.

c) Wippermann is a tricky part of the track but not too difficult. You have to let the car roll through it rather than unsettling it by braking and accelerating. In the wet, any part of the track is super slippery, so: adjust speed and your racing line

d) Lowering springs and standard bumpstops might not be the best scenario combined with a fully loaded car and a bumpy track.

e) since the question came up: Pflanzgarten 1 is not too tricky. Got to get your braking right. The bend itself has a lot of grip. Pflanzgarten 2 is the corner with most drop on the whole circuit. So you better have the car straight going into it. Not too difficult.
Pflanzgarten 3 is the trickiest of them because you are already very fast (100 mph in an M3, I estimate). It is blind. Has a big bump in the middle. Especially RWD cars can lose traction here as you usually take it flat-out.

f) since the car has a brembo BBK I will make a wild guess now: the driver found out that the stock brakes might have a heat problem. The heat problem can be cured by using fresh fluid (as you always should when going to a track) and other pads and most importantly: adjust your driving style to the vehicle. So, by putting a BBK in it, the driver can mask his inability to adjust the driving style to the car. And the reaction or lack thereof shows that the driver might not be the most experienced.
I never understood really why people throw tons of $/€ at a car instead of learning to f*ing drive it properly. For the money the BBK costs the driver could have participated in a number of very good driver trainings.

OP sorry to hear about the crash. Although I dont understand why the point of 4 ppl in the car is even mentioned, given you know you have additional load that would just make me drive slower unless I was quite confident of where I was driving. Its not like the Ring Taxi in any of its forms be it F10 M5, E90 M3 or E60 M5 had issues with additional ppl in the car, was just a case of driver knowing how to handle the change in load on a familiar road.

Did someone ask again about why there was no helmet worn?

I feel like that could have been worse. Glad they got out safe. I would be wearing a helmet though.

He went into "look at this movie" mode when the ass slid out, too late to correct by the time he figured out it was a reality show. But he did have the correct pro driver response when he stopped. "sheet! Fock!"

I love how everyone is suddenly an expert race car driver. The driver made a mistake. Easy to behind a desk and say what you would've done. Hindsight is 20/20.

So no one picked up on the fact that he got an HP4 to replace the M3?

Four people in a car on a track is a bad choice IMHO. Too much weight.
Although I'm not so sure if the car had just one guy(driver) would it have made the difference in making that turn
