HELP!

I have a weird engine noise like a ticking. Seems like its coming from the motor. The car just came off warranty :/ any easy fixes or should i take it strait to the dealer?

Valve noise? Belt noise? Miles on car? Modifications?

I got rear ended recently and hear a distinct ticking on start up now from the engine.

My car heads to the body shop monday then to BMW after to diagnose it. Some people say its normal but mine was a lot more noticable after the wreck. Hopefully its nothing major.

Could be in your head as when that shit happens you listen extra careful and pay a lot more attention to things you make not have noticed before.

Hope it's nothing

Haha I keep trying to tell myself that. The steering wheel feels slightly harder to turn as well, the handling is spot on but the wheel feels slightly "heavier" haha. My BMW tech said its all in my head and the car will prob never feel the same again because of it. Guess its time for a new one haha.

But OP, Do you hear the ticking only on start up? or all the time at idle? or even while driving??
