In all seriousness-does anyone think this is an absolutely terrible idea as a short term (7 days) solution? Those flanges obviously get quite hot…but hot enough to ignite a small piece of cardboard?

well I think cardboard catches fire at around 800f, so if the exhaust doesnt get that hot it wont combust. (any lawyers looking at this because his car caught on fire. I am not responsible for it)

Who needs a warranty anyway!? I just get my SA a nice gift for his birthday and a bribe for Christmas and I get to do whatever I want. Hell, I had turbos replaced FBO with meth... It's all in how you play the game.

The lunge is gone, at least for me. I haven't driven the car since Monday, so I can't confirm that the auto upshift does or doesn't still work. I have also heard a few people say the same thing, so I'm starting to think that it is true.

Ya I don’t think the cardboard will be an issue, those downpipes get really hot, but with thin work gloves on last night I was fidgeting with ‘em right after turning the car off, and they def weren’t anywhere near 800 deg…Very hot, but not like that.

And if that Alpina flash gets rid of the 2-3 bullshit shift that’s awesome, I hateeee that shift. Feels like crap always.

It certainly could be worse. It was snowing off and on here in Milwaukee, but for right now, it's just grey and crappy out. Since I have nothing left to do, and neither do the guys I'm with (vendor and customer) we are "letting" the vendor show us a night on the town.

Quick rant: some dumb ass lady decided she'd use the rear bumper of my car to stop her car, and idled into me at a red light this morning…The damage was close to nil, but if you look from a foot or two away you can see it (a cm or so paint chip, a sleight worm shaped paint indent maybe a cm wide and an inch long). I was late to work and this idiot was clueless so I just told her to get back in her car and move on with her day, I don't have the patience to take insurance and crap on a cold Monday morning, and the damage wouldnt be an issue for 99% of drivers. But i'm pissed right now... Need alcohol. Hope yalls morning was better than mine.

Edit: In better news, I drove up and back from the Poconos this weekend, around 500 miles cruising at 85-95 the entire way with a bunch of WOT shenanigans. Zero issues, zero limp modes, zero nuthin’. The car ran great, so that makes me very happy. STG2+ maps pull hard over 100, wow.
