This is because they fail to realize that other people make an honest living in the firearm industry. If those people who are completely against guns got their way think about all the people who would lose their jobs from manufacturing of guns, ammo, accessories to gun stores to firearm trainers.

Yep. Remington is dealing with the same bullshit ever since Cuomo passed the new bill on Jan 15th. It's really a shame.

It's because of the scumbag Governor Andrew Cuomo that this whole domino effect is happening. Once everybody else saw that the NY SAFE Act was rammed down our throats now the rest of the nation is playing follow the leader and seeing what type of bullshit legislation they can get away with in their state. It's fucking shameful. These idiotic liberals are not solving any problems nor making the world a safer place.

And it continues.... http://nation.foxnews.com/gun-contro...s-turn-weapons

That is literally EVERY fucking gun ever made. What semi auto rifle does not have something over the barrel to protect you from burning yourself?

here is something bright.....

Quote:
CATSKILL, NY. — Greene County lawmakers are considering a resolution that would oppose the state’s new gun control law, the SAFE Act, as well as one opposing a state Assembly bill that would require gun owners to carry liability insurance.

The county Legislature’s Public Safety Committee is to hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the county office building on Main Street in the village of Catskill.

On the agenda will be a resolution that opposes New York’s Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act, which was adopted by the state Legislature on Jan. 19 and signed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Also on the agenda will be a resolution to oppose a bill that calls for requiring gun owners to carry liability insurance of no less than $1 million.

If the resolutions are adopted by the committee, they would go to the full Legislature for approval the next day.

Cuomo’s office describes the SAFE Act as “the most comprehensive gun law in the nation” and says it “will keep guns out of the hands of potentially dangerous mental health patients and ban high-capacity magazines and assault weapons.”

The Greene County resolution states the creation of the SAFE Act “resulted in complex policy changes, many subject to interpretation and ... confusing to a vast number of public officials, as well as the law-enforcement officials who are required to enforce and explain them.” It also says the state legislation harms law-abiding citizens.

“This legislation fails to offer any meaningful solutions to gun violence and places increased burdens where they do not belong, squarely on the backs of law-abiding citizens,” the resolution states.

Ulster County legislators also are considering a resolution in opposition to the SAFE Act. The Ulster Legislature’s Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee recently endorsed the resolution, but the measure still must go before the full body.

Saw a Colt 6920 in the lgs yesterday for $1450 nib. Almost picked it up. Decided on the glock g29 and some savings instead.

Thank you sir.

The Magpul SGA Stock is one of the best I've ever encountered.

Although I love the feel of the Magpul MOE forend (integral hand stops at the front and rear of the forend), I am considering getting the Surefire forend (with the integrated light that generates exactly 200 lumens):

http://www.surefire.com/618lmg.html

I have the Mesa Tactical side saddle on order, but I found this last night and went ahead and ordered it too:

http://www.ravenconcealment.com/quic...shell-carriers

I think the Raven Concealment ModuLoader will withstand abuse much better than the Mesa Tactical aluminum piece. I love that you can rip off an empty shell holder and just slap another one on the velcro patch in mere seconds with the Raven. Very simple yet effective design.

Apparently, Stag has been canceling orders because they simply cannot fulfill all their backorders. I told my friend that is shitty customer service. I told him that I would help him build one since he has been waiting since the end of December. Here's the true story that my friend just told me:

"I wrote the president about the shittyness of them canceling my order 2 months after I placed it."

"I wrote an email to Mark Malkowski and sales last night about it. I got a reply email this morning first thing. They reinstated my order as 'received', so they are building it. This is what I expected from Stag customer service."

"So, you wont believe this. But I promise I'm not lying. I have my rifle in my hands. it came in today. That's 4 days. You can never say anything bad about Stag Arms again."

A picture of his brand new AR followed.

I'm extremely impressed with what Stag did. I'll be purchasing a stripped lower from them for my next build. I'm all about supporting companies like that.

Here are some other companies to support.

Quote:
Cheaper Than Dirt Supports Citizens'
2nd Amendment Rights

Recently companies such as LaRue Tactical and Olympic Arms announced they will no longer sell prohibited items to government agencies and personnel in states denying civilians to own those same items. It has been and will continue to be Cheaper Than Dirt's policy not to sell prohibited items to government agencies and agents in states, counties, cities and municipalities that have enacted restrictive gun control laws against their citizens. We support and encourage other companies that share in this sentiment.

This. They seem to have forgotten what their name means and where they come from.

Jacking up prices 6x is ridiculous though. If P-Mags were going for $30-50 each that wouldn't be as bad, but $100 for something that should be $15-20? Fuck no, especially when your company name is Cheaper than Dirt. Maybe dirt prices went up too, but i doubt it.

Went to a local gun show today. What a joke...

You can't touch a PMAG for under $40 a piece.
Saw a box of 50 50gr 5.56 for $62.
There was a can of 420 M855 62gr 5.56 for $380.
CMMG lower part kits were $150.
Standard Bushmasters, RRA, DPMS, S&W, Windham can't be had for under $1400.
Colts are in the $2000 range.
DD M4V1s are around $2400.
LWRCs were anywhere between $3500-4000.

Everything is available but it's so unbelievably over priced. I just need a few 20 round PMAGs for when I shoot from a bench but I'm not paying $40-50 for one.

This.
I had exactly the same experience at my local show. Except that the dealer I usually buy from is only a little higher priced than they were a few months ago. That's who I bought my M&P 15 from. Unfortunately, that's all I bought. Everything else was way too expensive.

Just an FYI, if you live in Cali I'd lay very low with equip. They could be coming for your mall ninja gear if certain people have their way, retroactive and all.
