Car looks bad ass though. Interested to see what you do with it.
You know honestly your not the first to say that but I have said it before and I will say it again, I can go out and buy the 'super car' $150K+ but I don't want to. You can't go and your cant buy my M3 and you will not see another one like it, to me that's my super car.

Supercharge an M3, build it out with some high performance goodies and it will be a better daily driver and will most likely be faster than most stock supercars. If you built it like this car with a rare color you will also get as much attention if thats what your into. like the OP said it will be a one of a kind not just another one of many similar cars.

I tend to agree with this. I understand OP's point on the one of a kind thing but...I'd still probably take a 991 C4S or C2S.
Not to mention I can go out and buy all the parts you bought and install them on my car. Maybe it wont be DY, but still.

I tend to think of the hot rod community when I think of truly custom. They have one off fabricated parts and all. Something like this
http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/21/2...t-street-cuda/

So to the person buying this Cuda, you cant say why wouldnt you buy a 458 and a 911 turbo...his answer is because there are thousands of those and 1 of these.

I completely agree with you!!! im tired of all my friends saying dont buy an m3 and im soon buying a GTR. They keep saying buy a supercar but they just dont understand that this is a supercar that you can actually DRIVE.

i was thinking same thing when i saw that. has to be somewhere on the undercarriage that can be used to tie off.

I am so mesmerized by any pics of this car that I did not even notice that, crazy how sick this car is. Truth be told I'd be pissed if my car was transported by the wheels. I know its a precaution and its not the main point but they should have at least gripped the entire wheel (around the tire).

Lol at you guys. There's nothing wrong with anchoring the car from the wheels if its the only accessible place. It won't do any harm and they make special slings just for this purpose.

but that is not a special sling for the purpose, and the car can still bounce around like crazy as the suspension is not compressed. if you can bounce the car on the springs by pushing down, it is too loose.

the strength in wheels is not in that direction.

Finally made it out to the shop yesterday, and I can, in fact, confirm that the newly replaced orange reflectors look sick on the Dakar Yellow.

No but seriously, I just sat there and drooled a while as I limped back downtown in my stock e92...
