What are you looking to get done? ACM is on of the best shops on the east coast for the M. They are also on this board. PM Sal.

I'm looking to get the rims powdercoated. ACM wants about $200/tire. AMS Autowerks were a lot cheaper but didnt know if anyone has used them before and what kind of quality work they provide.

yeah everyone i have talked said that ACM does great work but $800 sounds steep to me. Other place wants $500 and that includes mounting, dismounting, rebalancing. I was wondering if anyone has used AMS Autowerks before. From everything I read online everyone seems happy with them but I put a lot of trust in what people on this forum say.

I'd rather pay $200/rim than $50/rim to a shop that will look after my car/rims, guarantee their work and step up if any problems arise over defects. That's what you get with ACM from what I've rear and heard.
You can pay the cheaper price, of course you can, but down the road it might cost ya.

There's a lot in between $50/rim and $200 per. Just can't see paying $200 per if I can get a reputable shop to do it for $140 per.

AMS did great work on my Evo. Now if you want powdercoating I recommend Proformance Industries. They have installed numerous things on my m3 and are known for top quality.

Look. Last year I paid $750. Dismounted tire taken off, remounted and rebalanced. Don't skimp, it'll piss you off. My wheels came out great, but it's still not as good as a finish straight from HRE. So like I said don't skimp, it'll be money down the drain. Do it right do it once.
