To anyone in MA: is anyone down to risk going against what the governor said and go on a driving adventure in this blizzard?

Seems to me like it could be fun

I've been driving around and it's pretty fun. When I was out earlier I saw four guys piled in a Jeep Wrangler w/out doors or roof who were sliding around. Good stuff.

Was out earlier on LI we have about 6 -7 inches now and it just turned to rain. The M is stayin in the garage and ill be out doin donuts in the truck. Happy blizzard.

I guess the justification is that ppl do stupid things and then call 911 when they get stuck or involved in a crash. Then expect police/ambulance/fire truck for help.

Not sure how I feel about this. Back in the day I was an EMT and I've seen 5 O'clock snowstorm shut down cities for days with all the abandoned cars... but I also remember driving around in my 4Runner helping people out.

Seems against what's left of the spirit of this country (and I'm a liberal dude).

First of all a salute to you Sir, for your service.
Back in the day ppl used to read real books, read real newspapers, play real games, drive real cars (not run by Software), used to be tough and weather predictions were not so good.
All I wanted to say was, if authorities warn you and you don't have any obligation then stay at home. Emergency responders are also humans and they may not be able to come to save you at that critical time of the storm.
I'm a progressive liberal too, I don't mind spending my tax money on saving human lives (even if they are stupid or lazy (lol)).

HAHA WTF, personally I think Calgary has the worst winters out of anywhere I've lived on the planet. If they banned driving here then about 100k drivers would be getting arrested in a heartbeat lol.

Yeah right. I would give them the finger and tell them to pack sand. Isn't up to them regardless of what they think. If California tried that shit with millions of people I guarantee it would not fly. Nobody would obey. Mind you being retired and having no need to go out in bad weather, it's kinda fun seeing others doing the slipping and sliding this time of year ... oh the memories of it all when I had to do this ... remembering a 3 hour drive home in one of the biggest snow storms in the 70s when normal drive home time was only 20 minutes.
