French automotive magazine Motorsport takes a Competition Package equipped BMW M3 to the track for some lap time testing on the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in France. Spoiler results below video.

i think the m4 will be able to shave two seconds off the e92 m3 time and match the 991. totally doable if the next m4 is as amazing at it looks to be

If anything, that actually showcase the potential of the F10 M5.
Considering it weights as much as a SUV 4200lbs. It's merely a second away from the SLS.

The competition package helps a lot . The 'normal' E92 M3 did it in 1:27.4 a while ago. That's 2.5 seconds. Great job!

Nice video but lots of wheel movement. Not very smooth driving. Guessing with a better driver the times could have been improved.

If that's true seems that there must be some other variables in play -- driver, tires, conditions. Hard to believe ZCP alone is worth 2.5 seconds on a short circuit like that.

I am no expert, but the driver seemed to keep it together pretty good.

Hopefully the M4 is as glorious as this and with that extra 100lbs of torque it will demolish this time.

Then prices of the M3 will gradually go down and ill be able to afford one for myself haha

- last of the V8 NA's, so sad
