True enough, but then my do they never "randomly" pull over the Hyundai Sonata??? Since, in many cases (as far as I can tell), traffic tickets seem like an exercise in revenue generation, of course they are going to pull over the drivers who can pay the most and who have more productive things to do than fight a $200-300 ticket.

I actually wish they would write many more of those. I do love be blinded by some tool who feels the need to run with "fog lights" on at all times.

You guys have it all wrong. Revenue generation is bogus. Its illegal. Large cities and busy areas the cops do not focus on traffic violations. They focus on criminals.

I don't know much about US law but if this happened to me here in Canada I would do the following:

Take the guy to court, get the ticket dropped, point at him, and LAUGH / Case Closed.

As much as I want to agree with you, your logic is faulty and not accurate. It's all a conspiracy theory "people get pulled over based on who can pay the most". Not true. True not all LEOs are the same. And just because some LEO gave you a break 2 days ago on a tint, don't expect the same treatment next time you get pulled over for tint.

Bottom line is that most of the time, being respectful and acknowledging your mistake will get you a warning.

Cheers.

I hope you're not a LEO with that mentality.

Are you talking their personal vehicles or unmarked police cruisers? Two very different things...

These threads are always a riot. You gotta pay to play. Man up and take responsibility, it's no one else's fault but yours. I've been pulled over for speeding. I paid my dues to get it to go away... Suck it up.

Let me ask you a question....what did you sign? Please read the ticket. If you didn't sign a tint violation you can't be ticketed for that, just sayin.

Well on their personal vehicles sure they are breaking the law. I'm sure if they get pulled over for it they get the whole "professional courtesy" thing and just mention they are a cop and the other cop lets them off. It is what it is.

On official vehicles there is a reason they are tinted that way.

So yeah how do you guys enjoy the power of your M3 without getting in trouble with cops? I haven't gotten a ticket yet because I put a speed warning on my car. All I do is accelerate fast and once I reach the speed limit, I stop and cruise at the legal speed.

Too bad we can't live in a world like Forza Horizon. That's my fantasy world where public roads can be a playground for fast cars.
