So, we just recently got a puppy, a Greater Swiss Mountain dog. Apparently my wife had some sort of wild allergic reaction to him and we unfortunately have to sell him to another good home or breeder. Just want to know if anyone is interested or knows any breeders of the sorts. We have always wanted this breed but we unfortunately have to possibly think about a different animal or something else to do to keep us busy

He is barely 10 weeks old and has had his shots up to date so far. He is in great shape and gets fed the top notch food source. We are located in MD and if anyone would like to come see him to see if interested that would be great. We need to make sure that he goes to a good home though because he is a great pup to have around and really made us happy. We want to ensure that this pup goes to a good home so if you want to contact us via PM that is great and we will talk over the phone.

My advice is to talk to the breeder you got him from. A reputable breeder would want first right of refusal on a dog you got from them.

Exactly what I was going to tell you. I actually had to sign a contract with both of my dog's breeders stating that if I ever got rid of the dogs, at any age, they would go back to the breeder!

I had to do the same thing with my GSD. I keep telling her if she acts up I will return her....she could care less it seems.

+1 this is what my breeder does as well. If not do search for GSM dog rescues, most bread have a dedicated network on rescuing their favorite breeds.

I had to sign such a contract for my Boxer and my Boston Terrier. I keep in touch with both breeders, and when I told the BT breeder that our little guy had some health issues, she offered to buy him back. He was 4 years old at the time. I told her she didn't have enough money in the bank to buy back our boy. But, that's what a good breeder does!

When I got Chloe, she was on condition of allowing them to use her for breeding. At first I was 100% ok with it, but at about 6 months old I realized I couldn't give her up for a few months. Shes going to be 3 in July and I never regret my decision to get her spayed and keep her with me. I also keep in contact with my breeders. One acutally used to live out here in Boston, so I bring her beer when I drive home.

no, we're just a bunch of tire-kickers when it comes to wanting a pet dog... we want one, but hate to leave it a home by himself. we're out of the home for around 10 hours a day.

I agree.

We bought a puppy years ago and realized 1 day later that it was something that we did not think through. I called the breeder and they took the puppy back with no questions asked. She said she would rather take it back then give it to a bad home.
