Looks nice! I'm assuming this is the 'mini' CLS (?)

Hmm, that model really shows the bizarro hood (bonnet) shut lines. I thought the F30 was awkward, but this looks even weirder. Like others have said, I'm going to need to see this in person before really knowing if it works.

Many people will find this car appealing, but for me it is not a Mercedes. Mercedes has lost its way and is struggling to find new customers and attract a younger crowd, by getting rid of their image of "an old man's car". But that is not what Mercedes used to be.
Interior looks good, overall exterior idea is ok, but lines are badly executed, to messy and useless. FWD proportions are akward, they did nothing to improve that, but EU regulations are also responsible for that. If 2 Series GranCoupé gets a good looking front, it will sell more than its rivals, especially in the US. Mercedes A Class/CLA is only a short-term success IMO. |

Here is a real CLS on the road. In a world of cookie cutter designs, I give them credit for being different. Especially the rear end.

I'll reserve judgement until I see the AMG treatment. I really like what I see so ar but it depends on the price point.

I'm not sure I like it but it certainly has me intrigued. It starts in the low $30K's and isn't too small. It's almost exactly the same size as my 2003 Audi A4. Which is fine for me because I feel many cars are getting too big.

Most likely AWD, if I had to guess.

It's going to be available first in FWD Sept 2013. Then in Spring 2014 it'll be available in 4-Matic and also AMG - which should use the engine from the A class AMG in Europe.
