Are they not clear coated or anything? I used WD-40 and a microfiber towel when they got really dirty. Now as long as I clean them every coupe weeks I am fine with soap and water.

Apc, soap, and then some metal polish will do the trick. Cg metal polish works great for me

Thanks for the responses guys, I will give a metal polish a shot. Quote:
You have to be careful though, if someone rear ends you on dark tint they can use it against you in court. There is also another way you can do it byspray 'tint' I believe but, I like something that is easy to remove

Upon the suggestions of other I too went out and purchased Nvr Dull and I can also say I have never seen my exhaust tips look so clean. It took about 10 minutes to clean and was pretty simple. I have a Meisterschaft super GT ULW and these are the before and after pics.

Anyone having the chrome on the OEM exhaust starting to peel?
Just cleaned the tips today and they now look permanently dirty towards the bottom with the chrome peeling. Pretty cheap quality for a car that's a little over two years old. |

This is the first time I'm hearing about this and it should definitely be covered under warranty.

Warranty has expired. I tried to get a lot of things done/replaced right before 50K and probably would have tried with the tips too if I payed them more notice.
Admittedly I don't pay them too much attention when washing the car and just though it was dirt at the bottom of the tips. |
