I'm either getting this or a c7 for my next car. I love my 335iS but its my last BMW.

OP - any problems with your 335is, why would you go american after the pinnacle of the E92 body?

No problems at all but she's a garage queen with 15k miles at almost three years old.

I'd go American for a change after three bmw's. I don't like the direction BMW is going and the only other German car I really like is the 911 and I'm not spending 100k on one. My father just did that.

It will look nothing like either of those renders. They look like something mocked up from a wannabe CCS student.

This

Besides, Ford said the next Mustang will ditch the retro styling.

Hopefully that is true.

Where'd you get that render from?

Ford's not going to continue the retro look. It'll have cues from the current design language, so it should be quite a good looking car at least.

Yep and IRS suspension 100% in all lines, and the car will be sold on a global platform.

I saw the plans (work there) so far there will be no more SVT, and we will see a FI 4 cylindar, and a TTv6. The 5.0 will also remain as the upscale gt model, and there will be a special edition to replace the boss 302.

I may be going back to Mustang as well plus my discount is very enticing. It may be my 6th mustang lol

Why is that? Can you elaborate why it's your last BMW? I'm just curious.

After owning three in a row it's time for change. I'm not too happy where BMW is headed with the newest models but ill at least take a hard look at the 4 series.

Interesting. I might do a project on BMW's brand equity and would be interested in knowing yours (and others' thoughts) on why you guys are unhappy with where BMW is headed.

Oh, I'll chime in on this one. So for starters I'm an old fart and have been around BMWs since the mod '70s. I've driven every 3 series and the 2002. I have a lot of wheel time behind the E21, E30, and E90. I've worked on the E36 and E46 too. My combined mileage on my BMWs (my Wife's Z3 included) is about 600,000 miles.

BMW used to build driver's cars and now they build a Lexus. If you want to buy a driver's car you need to spec it out and special order it. It used to be a manual transmission was standard on EVERY BMW, now you have to order a manual trans. We waited almost a decade to get a 3-series with a NA inline 6, and now with the F30, it's gone. If I have to buy a BMW with an auto trans and a NA engine, it will be the Caddy ATS 3.6 with the FE3 suspension, a much better driver's car than the F30.

It used to be if you owned a BMW, you were known as a “car guy”; now you are just a POSER.
