OEM Lighted ZHP (almost) Knobs!!

Sorry if this is a repost, I did a quick search and didn't find anything posted about it in the last few months so here it is (X-post from M3forum.net).

The F10 M5 6 speed knob is (almost) identical to the ZHP weighted knob... best of all, it's LIGHTED using the same white connector!

P/N: 25112284205

$124.52 through Tischer!

ZHP knob for comparison

Yes, a repost... At least one member has done this mod.

Upon further searching I found the thread posted on M3post about the F10 knob... it's completely plug'n'play! You just need to reuse the plastic snap ring off of the E9X knob after removing the M5 snap ring.

Agreed! My old 545 had the grey interior and it was a bear to keep clean. Can't imagine what the upkeep on white leather is like!! Talking about the M5 in the OP's pictures obviously...

So replacing my stock knob with this will give me a 'shorter shifter' feel?

It's a very noticeable difference. The throw is shorter and the weight of the knob is great. I'll never go back to stock.

My stock knob is already lighted, but I might be interested in the shorter throws and better weight

Any height difference between the 2? I like the height of the stock knob so if the M5 knob is shorter, I might have to rethink this...

This is awesome, I had a ZHP knob on my E46 and I liked that so much. Love to get one for the M3! Thanks for posting.

You said its almost identical to the ZHP knob... what are the differences?

And what did you do about the different shift boot?
