Videos from recent PBOC Winterfest

Well...the lack of E9X's was staggering. There was one other and it was an E92.

The PBOC in Florida runs a 5 day long event ever winter at Sebring called Winterfest. Within PBOC there's a run group called SuperSolo (trademarked) and it allows open passing with no point by.

The group is dominated by GT3's and GT3RS....a sprinkle of 993's and 996 Carreras....then me.

Take a look at some video from this run group. It will make youthen then thenthen. It's really all over the place and probably like nothing you've ever seen at a DE.

Me in the E90 M3

Fastest lap I've been able to video....I timed other with iDrive at 2:28

Now for the craziness...this is in a GT3RS 4.0. Watch me almost get rearended at 6:55. By who? The guy in the next video.

This guy is ....well.....

Wow! That looked like a race not a DE. Sebring looks like such a crazy track, exhausting with all the bumps and surface changes. Cool videos

The guy in the last video can drive, just a bit shall we say, too aggressive.

I have a lot of fun at track days, but Im there to have fun, not race. I for SURE would not be pushing my car that hard around people that I dont know in a driving event. In a race, you expect a certain level of skill and predictability that just doesnt exist in a driving event.

Looks like a lot of fun. I LOVE sebring, my favorite track that I've been on.

Nice job! I'm not sure I could do that in my M3...I'd be too scared!

Awesome thx for sharing. You seem very relaxed...like you've done a 1,000 laps here. I was very impressed with your driving.

That looks like a poorly regulated/specc'd race.

For the cost of a GT3RS, you can get an outstanding DD and still run a race car at the weekend to get all that shit out of your system.

Well, sort of, he sure makes a lot of mistakes...

He seems to knows how to handle the car, but he does not seem to know how to handle himself .

Agreed. I don't have a problem running hard at a DE in the GT3RS (I would love the opportunity) but they were essentially racing and why risk that kind of money in the hope that someone doesn't make a mistake at the wrong place or time? Get a race car or kart. Safer and cheaper.

I'll shut up now.

The way PBOC treated BMW CCA I'm not interested in Winterfest anymore.

Craig is very good and can go around sebring like it's nothing, he was my instructor on my first time on the track which happened to be at sebring

WTF is up with that guy? It's a DE not a race, he's treating it like he's got something at stake, and driving angry in what's supposed to be fun. I do not want that guy running in my group, damn.

Sebring is by far, in my opinion the best track we have down here in FL, I love that place.

Good videos...and yeah, SS can be pretty intense especially if you end up squeezed in between the GT3s. Its a pretty close group, self policed and allowed to run pretty close to (or past) the limit.

Good seeing another BMW out there and great 2:30 lap...I was the other M3 on track for a few laps Saturday morning before our brakes decided to go on us. See you next time...

Thanks for the driving props guys!

Hyboost, I see you there a lot but with driving and instructing it's hard to get social time. I'll make more of an effort at the next Chin or PBOC event. Know of any other good groups at Sebring (besides NASA)?

Gobuffs, I hear ya. I think that's why their events are now dominated by Pcars.

Edwin...thanks and come back to Sebring!

Here's what slipping around on coolant at 120mph is like! Notice the car infront of me in the wall...and there was a GT3 doing loops behind me. You can see me hawking in the mirror. We were nose to tail for at least 3 laps having a good ole time.
