Hey guys,

Happy New Year!

For the 2013 season, M-World will be offering a test drive program for the AiM Solo.

Basically you would reserve a weekend window to use the AiM Solo. Then, I will ship it to you for you to use on that weekend. When you are done, simply ship it back using the enclosed label.

All you will have to pay for is the shipping fee (round trip ~$25).

Cool idea man, I'm on the fence about buying one and this could just be the push that many of us need to finally pull the trigger.

I agree too...will a camera be available too?

I would be interested in a rental programm too if you are thinking of that. I don't want to spend $1400 on a logger and camera for occasional track days, but I would be prepared to rent a set-up for a weekend for a good price.

Richard, thanks for helping me set up my new Solo DL and for you and Phil putting on a great event (///M Club track day MSRH).

Is it possible to attach the new GoPro Hero3 in the same manner as the SmartyCam, possible using a special smart cable which turns camera on and off?

I will have to say no to your question. Only the SmartyCam HD supports on-the-fly HD video integration and auto on/off.

That's what I figured, but thought I would ask just in case. I really like the GoPro, but may have to switch to a SmartyCam, if I can't get the Dashware software to accept my Aim track data.

When I try to upload the Aim track data, I get an error message saying "This video file does not contain embedded data" I have no problems uploading track video recorded with GoPro. The Dashware "help" says I need to export data as a CSV file. I have tried several things, but I am not sure how to do that. If you have any experience using Dashware, maybe you can chime in.

In the Analysis software File->Export to Excel, click on CSV, then make sure "comma" is the value separation delimiter.

On the right hand side, select the laps you want to export, and the left the values, I just pick everything.
