I have a few sets of wheels, including another set dedicated for r comp tires. It's hard to count track days, but these wheels went through 2x sets of Yokohama AD08s and 1x set of Cup tires.

I've asked a few CCW users on and around the race track but none of them had issues. Based on my speculation, I think it may just be a batch of bad forgings. The cracks appear to be caused by high cycle fatigue which grew over time. I don't go over curbs aggressively or often to shorten the life of these wheels to just 15k miles.

Dear moderators, please sticky this thread to show other wheel manufacturers how "situations" should be handled. Especially if it involves products that we put our hard earned cash and life/lives for i.e. wheels. There should be no excuses i.e. "lightening purposes"

That is a great thing you caught that before something catstrophic happened. Just a thought - Could it be that with enough stress and temperature variations wheels can fail regardless of what brand they are? Isn't this why race teams use 3 piece wheels?

Mother of god. What a wheel manufacturer does. Notice this thread will not grow into one of hatred and discontent for CCW but one of praise and future potential customers. It would be nice to see if they share the results of what happened.

So is there a hypothesis on the cause? Seem to be stress fractures.
