Even the new C7 Corvette gets proper brake cooling on the base car.BMW?

From that diagram it looks like it is just a little deflector though, right? Similar to what Porsche puts on the Caymans and 997's? I don't think that can even be compared to a hole for a hose and backing plate setup. I put the 997 GT3 deflectors on my Cayman just because it was a cheap upgrade, but I never really expected it to be very efficient.

I am just speculating, maybe the deflectors do something decent, but I wouldn't really be that much more pleased unless they included a convenient hole for a hose and backing plate.

It looks similar to the 997 GT3 air deflectors. The Mitsubishi Evo also has brake air cooling kits with similar air deflectors available as an factory option.

BMW has cheaped out on the brakes on the M3. Let's hope they do a better job on the new M3/M4.

I think the Efficient Dynamics push will work against brake ducts. Apparently BMW is big on managing aero drag in the wheel wells which explains the functions of the side ducts in the 1M bumper. I do believe the F30 has something similar. I don't think fixed piston calipers will make the brakes bulletproof.

But only time will tell.

Probably quite true. But it would be great if BMW would integrate some kind of removable plate that when removed would allow the airflow to cool the brakes. That way those of us with the interest and need could easily remove the plates after taking delivery of the car. I know--wishful thinking.

Gosh even the e60 528/530 came with great brake ducts. Go figure. M3 does not and I was floored. Why in gods name would the 528i need brake cooling!!
