If there's no 2 series news I have zero reason to pay attention to BMW @ Detroit... unless they plan on announcing an affordable 535d for the US.

Patience folks, the very first 2 Series prototypes were just spotted. It'll be a while until official 2 Series communications begin.

I was expecting f32 to be revealed much sooner under impression the coupe is usually revealed a year after sedan. Now f30 was revealed in 2011 and showed up on the streets in spring 2012. It's 2013 already and no coupe.... Sad.

I was hoping the same only so I can get the second year run and not the first year cars. As the new car tends to have several problems. Hope they solved whatever problems they had with the f30

As I work at the dealership level for BMW, we are under the impression that they are in the process of building out the current 3 series coupe and will end that run with the limited edition Fozen Red, White, and Blue M3's with production of all 3 series coupes stoping in late Feb through March depending on order status. So in actuality after retool it is possible that there could be 2013 4 series in the States by the end of July, even if production started as late as June 1.

The only reason the production-ready F32 may not appear in Detroit is because of how recently the concept was unveiled. Here's hoping to a world wide premiere in my hometown of Chicago.
