I salut u sir, its rare to find other ppl that play HC. Honestly though for bops2 i've gone all soft core. Sad but the HC playlist is really weak. Been playing alot of Core Ground War and it's wicked! Recently kill confirmed got added to the HC playlist which is good but still you're missing out on so much of the game in HC only. This coming from someone who plays nothing but HC until now.

This game is the first time I've ever prestiged, and the new system sure makes it easy. (Thanks to another double XP weekend, I'm now Presitge 2).

Question though. Does anyone truly understand the "refund your tokens" prestige award? (I've just gone for extra custom class slots so far, both times).

When you prestige, all your tokens reset to zero anyway and everything is locked again and you have to make your unlock choices from stratch, so I don't understand what a refund means or would accomplish in this context.

What am I missing?

After you prestige, go back into the prestige menu to claim your reward. When you do this all tokens are reset (if you didn’t claim the reward right away it will reset the tokens you have already used to unlock things and lock everything again) and you are given 1 permanent unlocked. This unlock means that anytime you prestige the item you chose to unlock will stay unlocked forever. (Unless you do the full prestige reset, but no clue why anyone would want that). Don't know what system you're on but on PC you click on what you want to unlock then click "Permanent unlock" at the bottom of the screen. It's kind of odd.

Example - My 1st prestige I used it for the Ghost Perk. So I had ghost the entire 1st prestige (so level 5 - 55 I had Ghost ( you need create a class unlocked)) cuz I use Ghost on almost every class. My 2nd prestige I used the reward for primary gunfighter. So I have it unlocked right away AND I have ghost already unlocked from my 1st prestige. If you keep going you can prestige and already have many of the things you like to use in a class already unlocked off the bat.

Don't forget to prestige your guns cuz they don’t prestige when you do, it’s separate. Reason to do this is prestiging the weapon lets you put on clan tags and your emblem you make onto your guns. Hope that’s clear.

I know and understand what the "permanent unlock tokens" are and how to use them. You get one per prestige regardless and those are separate from and in addition to the three "award" choices you get to choose from.

I was asking specifically about the "refund token" award ("extra class slot" or "full stats reset" being the other two). It doesn't make sense what that particular award might do for you since you lose all your tokens when you prestige and have to start unlocking things from scratch anyway. If you choose that award option do you get to KEEP any unused tokens from the previous prestige (so, for example, if you had say 10 unused tokens at the end of a prestige do you get to add those to the number of new tokens you earn on your next prestige)? I seem to recall the in-game description says something to the effect of refunding all your spent tokens (??), but that doesn't really make sense.

Refund token = permanent unlock... that's what I understood. If you do not redeem your permanent token and continue playing you will start getting unlock tokens as normal. Say you redeem your permanent unlock token at level 20, any tokens you have already used (level 1-20) in that prestige are given back to you (maybe this is what you're thinking of) and everything becomes locked again.

Before you prestige if you have say 10 unlock tokens, you lose them after you prestige.

Pretty sure thats how it works but maybe i missed something. Don't think extra class slot does anything for tokens and the reset is just reset everything back to day 1. Like I said, might have missed something....

Agree but i've already had more fun in BOps 2 than months of playing MW3

I've never seen this extent of douchebaggery before. Its ridiculous. Map design is only part of the issue though.

I play tranzit quite a bit. I love how I can take on an entire wave of zombies and not die but some kid can hit me with 2 bullets from his SMG all the way across the map and kill me.

I agree 100%. You don't have to be good at first person shooters to be good at Black Ops 2. All you have to do is equip a SMG and mod it to the max, then sit in a corner. Shooting people as they walk by makes you "good" at this game.

Head glitches are def an issue more so than the mw3 ones and camping never goes away sadly. I fucking hate campers and make sure my opinion is voiced at any hardcore camper in my lobby.

Picking up this game soon but don't have overly high expectations. As long as I can hold my own I can I think i'll be able to enjoy it.

Just hit prestige 4 on Xbox last night. Game is decent but Infinity Ward is always better. Campers are always rampant with Christmas noobs who don't know the maps. Should calm down in a few months.

My biggest complaints are the horrible spawn system and the fact that Nuketown doesn't rotate in TDM. I'm not sure what you guys mean by 'head glitching'?

Head glitching is when you are able to peek and shoot over a ledge, say for example a wall or barrier, yet the enemy cannot see your head peek over that barrier. So, it would give you an unfair avantage because you can see/shoot them, but they can't see/shoot you.

I love the CoD franchise but the biggest problem are the annoying n00bs online. I cant enjoy the game without some sailor mouthed 10 years old screaming how good is in this game or how his a$$ get kicked.

Another reason I love the "Mute all except party" button.

I like the game, yeah there are campers, and horrible glitches, but there are those on any online 1st person shooter. I come from loving Counter Strike online for years and years. So this isn't that bad, I am actually am happy that they made quick scoping a lot hard in this one, so there aren't near as many people running around with sniper rifles.

Head glitching does get old, but hey, can't have your cake and eat it =D
