Can you change out the cats with the test pipes without removing the X-pipe?
I'm just thinking about when we have to smog the car?

why aren't they swedged pipes to allow for a little overlap for sealing? seems a much better design to overlap and clamp rather just clamp it as I cannot imagine that won't leak ... Anyone?

Do you mean you could just swap them out without removing the Xpipe? Probably, just have to loosen it upand get it off the rubber mounts. Also it would depend on the clamps being used.

Look at where the cuts are, there's no way your clamping those cats back on

I'm hoping you could unclamp, then twist the pipes and pull them out. Then slide the cats in, but not sure you could twist them back in since they're flat.

Did you ask them to extend the pipe on the driver side to get rid of this nasty stock kinks on the stock driver side pipe? I'd love to get rid of those.

turner also uses a bigger clamp that completely covers and seals the area that is cut/slip fit.

FYI the stock exhaust is hydroformed and not just crush bent and actually flows quite well (save cats/etc)

No, I didn't think it would make much of a difference power wise, and the fact that I can't see them unless the car is on a lift. Just wanted the power gain for the track. Looks were not a high priority.

There was a dude here a while ago who owned a shop and said he got a few more HP CONSISTENTLY with a Gintani 300cpi X-pipe vs. Turner test pipes.

I wonder where I could get test pipes installed in MA area. I called up Turners and they won't install them. Damn laws!

Anyone knows where I could get them installed? Doesn't seem like a DIY sort of thing.

maybe try with an independent muffler shop that is local? with instructions it shouldnt be a problem for a muffler shop, or any shop that can cut. Other than cutting the only labor needed is unbolting and bolting on the pipes and OEM x-pipe.
