I am working with BMW of Norwell. My preference is AW/FR. Another person has mentioned not to do the 39 month lease. The dealership was pushing hard for it though.

Generally speaking, 36 months is the maximum term that you want to have for a lease. Currently the residue is favorable for 36 months (whether 10-15k). It is important to know the facts prior to negotiating with the CA and by extension his management. This includes knowing the MSRP vs. invoice, available incentives, doc fee charged by that dealer and if leasing, money factor, residual and acquisition fee.

I suspect most people going into a deal simply look at the monthly payment. This puts the power on the dealers side especially if they know your budget. Be fair and respectful and remove any emotion from the negotiation.

If you can wait, work with one of the forum sponsors and arrange for PCD.

Just ordered my 2013 M3 MW with black interior. Hopefully will have it in 2-3 months. Thought I got a decent deal but let me know your thoughts.

Price with options (just metallic paint and competition package) $65,545. No money down. I rolled in taxes, fees, etc. I walk in with my first month, taxes on the rebates, and some other fees= $1436. Monthly payment is $718. 12k miles/year. Residual is 61%. Money factor .00125.

First, welcome to the forum. Roughly speaking, $8k off of MSRP is a really good price. Not sure what incentives are being factored into your deal. Is this a new vehicle (i.e. non-demo)?

DCT vs. MT and standard vs. Enhanced audio, you'll find opinions on both sides. The transmission topic has been discussed at length on this forum. You may want to search and read the various comments. Does your dealer have inventory of both configurations (including audio)?

The vehicle would be new - ordered to specs. I'm fortunate to have military sales as an option, which is the reason for ~$8K of the MSRP. Risky to order without driving, but I've always had an eye on the M3 since the E46 - just never picked one up. Thanks for the feedback on the DCT/6MT and audio - I'll do some research. Obviously it's mostly personal opinion, just interested in getting other enthusiast's experiences. V8 or music - tough decision, no?

Without a doubt, the soundtrack from the V8 will be "music to your ears". But there will be times where other music will be desired. I for one, when I order my M3 in a few weeks, will be getting the Enhanced Audio.

I'm still back-n-forth on DCT vs. MT. The DCT will be faster and convenient should you have a lot of city and/or stop-n-go driving. MT for the connection to the car and perhaps long-term reliability. You just need to test drive both versions to come to your own conclusion.

I had a DCT for three year and loved it. Then I drove my friends manual M3. haha They are both awesome.

The holiday credit of $1500 is carried forward for January 2013. That is if financed through BMW FS. Otherwise loyalty and/or BMW Apps if existing BMW FS customer. Even with $1k over invoice, factoring the current incentives, the buy price would be below invoice. Again, assuming financed through BMW FS.

I just checked with my finance manager $1500.00 Holiday credit is still available if finance through bmw finance . as per mentioned through upper post as well. you should be able to knock off another $1500 from the bottom number price. Good luck.
