DVD movie discs display as unreadable
I have a 2009 e90 with a build date of 11/08. It's a CIC based Nav and my understanding is that it should allow me to watch DVD video while stationary. No matter what DVD I place into the head unit, the Nav display reads 'unreadable'. I've searched the forums and haven't found anyone who has experienced the same problem as consistent as mine. Wanted to make sure I'm not doing anything bone-headed before having the dealership look at it while it's still under warranty. Thanks.

I think that your emegency brake have to be up (enable) for it to play. Try that first.

I did a cic retrofit on my 2008 m3. After the install DVD wouldn't play is said unreadable. After doing some investigating my DVD region code was coded to 0. Had the car re-coded to 1 which is North America / Canada and it started working. Hope this helps.
