NOR CAL: Jan 21 Laguna Seca Track Day

The Nor Cal BMW Facebook group will be here in force. Come meet other enthusiasts and get to know us. We're a collection of Bay Area natives that love the BMW Brand and just driving in general. We always have a great time and a number of us have registered for this event. If you're interested in joining the Nor Cal FB group, then PM me your FB email and I'll send you more information.

This is the first track event of the year hosted by Nor Cal Racing. Website below. The track event is on a Monday. They have a number of different groups that you can drive based on your relative experience. Instructors can be provided at an additional cost. Typical registration cost/fees is around $169. Early registration is encouraged to confirm your slot.

The group does require you to perform your own pre-track checklist. A copy of that checklist will be snail mailed to you along with your track group bracelet and schedule for the day. Helmets are required for you and your passenger (should you choose to have one).

The track event does require 2 safety meetings that will directly impact your participation in the schedule. For example, if you only show up to one safety meeting then you can't drive in certain events. So to ensure that you follow the rules, then go to the safety meetings!

Lunch is rather expensive but is offered at their cafe at the track. Depending on how the day goes, dinner with people from our group is likely.

The track event will occur regardless of wet or dry conditions.

i saw this too late any idea where else i can find trackdays near the bay? i've never tracked before, just did some autocross so i need instruction

Wine country Motorsport in Sonoma. Good selection and very helpful.
They'll ship new helmet if they don't have it in stock (I don't recommend buying their display)

There's one in Livermore but they're only open M-F 8am - 5pm. So I didn't pay attention to the name of the store.

I used summit racing. I know my fitted hat size and so I was comfortable going with them. They're an online retailer.
