"Alien-like" *human* skulls found?
The story is all over the 'net, so you can do your own search and find it. I'm just curious, do we have any doctors here that specialize in anatomy who can comment on the pic? I can see, as mentioned in other archeological articles, the shape of the head being coaxed by binding the skull with wooden boards, but I'm interest in the shape of the eyes and the proportion of the zygomatic bone, along with the location of the ramus branch of the mandible.
I pulled up a comparo pic of the human skull, and the attachment location looks a tad bit off. ![]() ![]() Last edited by whats77inaname; 12-21-2012 at 04:22 PM. |

artificial cranial deformation. used to be fairly common practice, probably still is in some parts of the world. Nothing out of the ordinary. basically you bind the head from a young age, and it will grow in the shape of the bind. very much like the bound feet of Chinese women.

That part is familiar to me. But looking at the mandible, on the human skull, it attaches behind the eye socket. This attaches under the eye socket. How does something like that get pulled off? |

The skull is very much real, they have been found all over the world. Like mentioned earlier, it was a very common practice. People with elongated skulls were of importance it was a symbol of being better than everyone else. The alien explanation on the other hand is probably fake. |

Like I told the other "The skull is very much real, they have been found all over the world. Like mentioned earlier, it was a very common practice. People with elongated skulls were of importance it was a symbol of being better than everyone else. The alien explanation on the other hand is probably fake."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artific...al_deformation Not that wikipedia is the end all source, but they offer a good summary and explanation of the practice. tl;dr. Skull is real, Aliens are fake. the end |

Hmm...I don't see that. Are you mistakenly seeing the depression by the temporal region as the eye socket? Where the lower mandible comes up to the skull looks the same as a regular human's to me.

I realized after looking for a bit that the skull is turned to the side and that dark slit I mistakenly thought was the eye socket *lol*. DOH! |

The odds of other life forms in this universe is actually quite high. Not that I believe in aliens travelling in flying disks or anything like that, as most of them would be microscopic baterial-like. However, one would be foolish to think that there are no other life forms out there, considering the size and age of the universe.

I believe in Aliens, you gotta be insane to say no when there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand of all the beaches on Earth. Each of those stars have planets orbiting around it, the probability is very very high...
Now, I don't believe that we'll ever get to see them, because of the sheer distance. It takes the fastest space craft we have, 100,000 years to get to Alpha Centauri, our nearest star...all that worm hole, black hole, speed warp BS is all science fiction. To get somewhere far you have to go really really fast for a really really long time...so we are confined in our Solar System, maybe never knowing of the other's existence... Pic is a hoax
