OEM angel eyes do look good. But since I got my LUX, I find the OEM ones look dated. To each their own I guess. Diversity makes for a better world

Accidentally got Gold bulbs....Didn't know until they were installed.

Totally agree with the op - they look mean.

I've had yellow ae's in my headlights for a while now. I have PIAA Ion Plasma bulbs in there. I tried the LED bulbs in there for a year prior to that but was never happy with them since I was used to the Umnitza angel eyes (the same rings as used by OSS) in my E46 M3. Ended up changing to yellow bulbs and have been satisfied with them ever since. The contrast with the car looks very good (Le Mans blue) and when it's foggy out it helps cut down on the glare.

Look at these ones, White AE is too common. Yellow just stands out. specially in the dusk without tuning the head light on.
OEM looks good to but not after you found these yellow ones.:

Now that was funny. The more correct term for stock halos are white. The LED/Blue are the ones on the 2012 and up.

I have super bright yellow PIAA bulbs in my Halo's and couldn't be happier with them. I'm all for being different and everyone and their mama has LUX. My boy used to have them on his car (last car to the right in the pic below...only halos on in that pic and look how bright they shine) and he gave them to me after getting his new custom ACM dual projector headlights installed.

It's all about what YOU like at the end of the day. I didn't really like the eggyolk collored halos from factory but i LOVE the bright yellow ones I have now because they don't look like any other BMW on the road
