APE Performance equals Bad News, stay away from them.

I made a huge mistake by ordering a Gloss Black M3 badge from APE Performance. They won't respond to any of my emails or return any of my phone calls. I waited a few weeks for the badge before I did anything, but by that time PayPal said it was too late to dispute it. I am out $40.00 and that's not the biggest deal to me, but it's the principle of the matter and it's quite frustrating. I'd love to hear some opinions if anyone has an idea of what I should do next?

thank you,

Charlie

That's what it seems like, I don't get why they still have an online store and actually took the $40.00 for the part they didn't send me. I just wish PayPal would help out.

Does anyone know who else sells OEM black chrome E9x M3 Badges? I am also looking for some front Roundrel Hood and Trunk Emblems that have gloss black or black chrome borders. Do you think IND would be my best bet?

Dispute with your bank, credit card company, or Visa. All of those stand behind you. You have 90 days usually. I do it all the time to dead beat vendors.

Thank you for your meaningless comment. If you had read anything other than the title of the thread you would understand my point of view. I could care less about the $40.00. However, when you call and email a company for two months after you supported their business and they don't respond to you, it's a little aggravating. I guarantee you would be upset regardless if it is about the money or the principle and having horrible customer service.

I don't think the comment was toward you but more so to them. I could be wrong.

I think it was 2010. I knew the owner of ape, he was a super cool dude..it wouldn't steal your money..he probably just doesn't realize that people are still playing orders through the site.

+1

Any time Ive disputed charges it has to be 30 days after the purchase, although from what I've done in the past there's no time limit on when you can dispute.. i.e. if you're required to put half down then the other half at the time of the products completion and haven't received it prior or close to the 30 days of the second charge they'll dispute the charge from the past even if it was several months ago, since it hasn't been received its still considered fraudulent.

If you linked your credit card to your Paypal account and used the card for payment, you can call your credit card company and dispute the charge.

+1, IND is the best. Highly recommended for a painted emblem.
