I'm so stupid argggghhhhh!

I wanted to keep miles off my M and have something for the winter so I was feverishly searching for a a4, 330/325xi or subie. Well I found a nice little A4 and scooped it for what I thought was an excellent deal 800 or so under KBB. It was as smooth as car sales go. Until... I just realized I had purchased a regular 2WD, non AWD a4. I was hasty in my reasearch and didn't even realize this existed.

F-M-L

I'm so pissed with myself. The deal was just fair as far as kbb value goes.
The winters aren't harsh here in NJ and I think the FWD will do fine. This will suffice for my commute and save the M at least. But still, this just shit on my new purchase excitement... Thought i'd share/vent my frustration. DAMNIT

Well, look at it this way: the glass is not half empty is actually half full.
The M enjoys a good warm cozy garage, and you have a beater for winter. Most people drive FWD in the winter and wish for an A4; with the right tires you are set. And is still an A4 not something else.

Enjoy and be happy ma man in good health, that is what matter!

Cheers!

Oops.

Snow tires will be your friend for the A4.

Well at least you're brave enough to admit to this mistake. I never cease to be amazed though at the lack of investigating one would do before dropping significant amounts of coin.

Funny, but yeah FWD should be fine. E92 M3 + beater = good life.

It's not a big deal mate. Look at it like this: less crap to break! Just get some proper winter tires and you're SET.

Love how your sig says "anything worth doing is worth overdoing"

Clearly *anything* does not include buying a new car.

Garage List
FWD does good in rain or snow. I've never had any problem driving my jetta in the rain.

I am coming to terms with the mistake. Actually, I really like the car. Very smooth and comfy ride for my commute and the auto trans is excellent in the clusterfuck of traffic I sit in each day. After owning the M3 as my only car for nearly a year this a really relaxing drive. What's really funny is I see the odometer ticking up and up and it just puts a smile on my face! I feel like I am going for a high score. Every mile of bumper to bumper in the A4 is an M3 mile saved for twisty back roads on a nice day.

My friends are having a good laugh about this too. I should have stuck to BMW because I know damn well what xi means haha

I have one gripe with the A4 at this point. Why the hell does a luxury car from two thousand freaking five have a tape player and no aux in?

FWD CVT a4 have trans problems.I've owned more than a few different Audi's and I would never buy a CVT FWD a4 again. If you got the cvt in your car I suggest you keep it a short time or sell it now.

I have an 08 VW Touareg, a 60k SUV and it has no aux in or Bluetooth. Mine came with no nav. The VW Group was a bit behind on tech for awhile I think.
