Challenge Race Trunk Lid (double sided carbon fiber/Kevlar. Used only 1500 miles and painted Jerez Black.

Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA, our OEM carbon race trunk is the perfect addition to your 3 series BMW. Each trunk is constructed by hand from 100% carbon fiber materials inside and out. Additionally carbon Kevlar is added in key areas for strength and rigidity while maintaining maximum weight savings.

From the factory, all 3 series models come with a heavy steel trunk. Mass amounts of weight savings from the rear most part of the car can be achieved by swapping to a lightweight version. Not only will you see a difference in handling, acceleration, and chassis response, but a stunning appearance as well. Perfect OEM fitment with the classic 1x1 carbon to match your OEM roof and BMW accessories.

Just the underside is reinforced with CK. The exterior was carbon fiber.

The first picture shows it doesn't line up perfectly, correct? So there's a slight imperfection in the fitment.

That pic was before there were any adjustments made. So yes you are correct, in that pic it appears the trunk lid does not line up perfectly. As you can see in the second pic (taken months after the trunk lid was adjusted) the body lines match up very nice.
