You asking for a rough vs smooth setup is a very noobish thing to say. People who track know that a high end setup is smooth everywhere and/or that rough/stiff doesn't equal better track performance.

Also if you go that often how come I have never met you

Anyhow, the KW CS fall right into your budget and are your best bet at this price point.

i used to track a lot with speed district but i haven't gone for a while now. i would go with the kw cs but i want something a little more than that. maybe something like the tc kline single adjustable or double. what do you think about that? You have probable seen me at the track before. I have a black e92 and used to have orange track wheels with r888.

Just an idea. Bilstein now also has clubsport coilover kit. I haven't read any reviews yet, so I don't know how it compares to KW CS.

I think you have to specify what you mean by "better" and "something more", those terms are vague. Do you want something with more adjustability? Remember, no matter what setup you go with, it does not promise an improvement in handling. Just as importantly, you have to have everything setup for your needs, driving style, where you track, etc. Talk to a reputable shop about getting set up properly then dial in final adjustments as you go. I'd definitely specify what you're looking for. A setup with more camber adjustment and more compression/rebound adjustability?

From some of your comments, it seems like you should do some more research on suspension and suspension setup. Higher spring do not necessarily indicate a rough ride, the "comfort" of the drive is also dependent on compression and rebound settings. A car with high rates can still be quite streetable. I'd recommend KW CS, or JRZ RS1's in your price range. In calculating your budget, remember to factor in install and setup costs if you're not installing, corner balancing and aligning your setup yourself.

Ive had Bilstien and KW on my car, and although they are both decent.... I now run Intrax Coils which are in a different league all together!

I think both JRZ's and TCK are great, but there's also a big price difference, and I know you mentioned price is an issue. According to HP Autowerks, JRZ's S/A's are around 4500 retail and TCK's are around 3000 for their D/A. However, JRZ's are widely used and it would be easier to get info on setup from others compared to TCK's which I haven't heard too many things about on the E9x's. I'd definitely give HP Autowerks and The R's Tuning a call because I know they've installed and dialed in a few of these setups.

I'd still look at KW CS. For street driving and your budget, I think it's a great choice. If you're not happy with their standard spring rates (I think they are 514/800), you can always just swap in another set of Swift springs with the spring rates of your choosing. I'd recommend going with the KW CS's and saving the rest of your money for pads/fluid/tires, unless you have those already.

KW V3 for street. I love mine, this is some high quality stuff. I used to run "high end" teins for my Japanese cars. Night and day between them.

If you track often then KW CS might be a good option.

Based on what I have read so far, I would suggest 400#front 700# rear and based on the # of track events/month I would DEFINITELY recommend Double Adjustable.

The new Ohlins R&T will be at half the price of Moton Clubsport 2-way. Ohlins does not currently offer a coilover kit for the E9X M3 unless you are referring to the Ohlins based PSi Raceline Kit, which is not recommended for street duty.
