Fixed back seats are hard to execute with the 3 point belts. You have to make sure the lap belt passes through the bottom holes and hardware doesn't bind on the seat. OP has a E90 which makes more sense for non-reclining.

I'm 5'9 - 165 Lbs.
I daily/track my m3. Pole Positions are a must. I have passengers/other people who drive my car that are over 6" and they like my seats even more then me!
