Braille Battery & E9X M3 Brakcet

Hey guys, I'm wondering about going this direction for my autox setup. Does anyone have advice or know which battery to use?

I'm stuck wondering if their 11lb or 15lb is enough CA for the car, because in autox you def start the car up over and over. I'm fine with charging the battery between events because that's not a big deal.

I'm not worried about starting the car with this battery in the winter as I'll put back the stock one.

Does anyone know how to "reprogram" the ecu for the correct battery settings?
I'm assuming I'll need a bt scan tool to do that and how? Thanks for the help.

Get the bigger once. There were a lot of guys having trouble with the smaller battery because of all the electronics in the car. The Mini battery is another option. It's suppose to fit perfectly and is a little larger.

The Mini battery is about 34 lbs. Maybe try the Deka ETX30L. It is the same as the biggest small Braille (the 21-22 lb one), but less than half the price. You can buy the Deka online or at Autozone. I ran one for about 18 months of year round driving in NH in my E36M3 before it could no longer start the car. I'd expect half that time in the E90M3. I now run the Mini battery in my E36M3.

Another little battery is the older Miata battery. Weighs about 25 lbs but is at least made to start a car.

Not sure what I will try in my E90M3 when the stock one goes. I know it is a big battery. But I also know that small batteries don't last long in new cars with lots of electrical draw.

Yeah I've been trying to find more posts about these batteries and it seems that a lot of people had issues. Sounds like the 21lb might be a good place to start or try to find one with a closer ah output to the standard 90ah. I was hoping to not have to change out the battery for the stock one after each event, but I might have to huh?

I changed to the Mini battery after my original battery died. Works perfectly with M3's power distribution box.

Was your car a DD? Did you put a battery tenderer on it?

You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
