Going back to my original post, I was talking about finding me where you could get an M3 lease deal of invoice or below sans rebates or incentives. |

OP I think you need to take a step back and think about this. If you were paying $415/mo for 60 months for your GTI that means you basically put nothing down. Also, sounds like you have negative equity in it currently.
On top of that, you are thinking about putting down a large sum of money on a lease which will still have high monthly payments and you will not own the car in the end. Sounds like you are setting yourself up for some financial trouble early in life... |

725 bank fee, tax on bank fee, tax on incentives , tax on 36 payments, dmv/doc fee 172.50, first month 710.43 = a little less than 4300
run the numbers through any lease calculator to figure out what I paid for the car it works out to be invoice - 3550 |

Okay, I'll spill the beans. I have a professional lease calculator, not some rinky dinky online calulator from Edmunds or KBB. You live in NJ? I ran your car of $75,845, invoice is roughly $70,500. In order for your dealer to be at $710 a month with JUST your $4,300 out of your pocket, your dealer would have to sell the car for about $1,500 BELOW invoice (about $69,000 selling price) and that is using the $1,500 Holiday Credit and $750 Loyalty (which BTW is NOT taken off the selling price of the car but rather integrated in to the lease). The $300 BMW Ultimate Drive App is just deducted from whatever you owe at signing so instead of $4,300, you'll just owe $4,000. If this is your exact deal, take it and run (or drive) as fast as you can because you just stole this car. I really hope you did get this deal, but something doesn't sound right... |

i do enjoy tuning cars but at the same time i want it to be extremely reliable. i like to drive alot, make frequent trips to AC which is about 100 miles each way or so but i like them stanced, loud, and fast.
as far as people thinking i have negative equity on my GTI i can assure you i dont because in march i won A poker tournament for 1st place (only about 8k) and i made a $6,000 payment lol swear. so im good on equity for the next car. |

Your financial situation is nobody's business. There's only two reasons to buy a car like an M3 and neither one of them are "sound financial decision", but we're not talking about houses or 401k's or stocks, we're talking about cars. Anything beyond a 15 year old beater Honda is technically a waste of money in that they both get you from point A to point B. Buy the car if you want to and you can. Simple as that.
My only advice would be to sell your GTI privately since you'll never get anywhere near what you put into it with the parts and everything. Better yet take the parts off and sell them separate, then sell your car privately. You're probably talking several thousand dollars there. |

I'm not a lease hater, in fact I'm jumping into one soon, BUT, You should maybe rethink the down, take a bit higher monthly to save yourself some much needed liquid capital, esp if your only 25... |

Best way to save on a BMW lease over all is MSD ( multi-security-deposit ). Max it out ie 7 security deposits, each is equal to the nearest 50 rounded up from your monthly payment. You get an avg of 10% return on your investment.
