Armorall Wheel Protectant -Impressed

I applied Armorall Wheel Protectant to my clean ZCP wheels three weeks ago, and the wheels still look clean. This stuff is amazing.

You can see the brake dust pool at the bottom of the barrel - so cool. Drive off and it's flung off the wheel.

All you do is clean and dry your wheels, spray on, let the wheels dry for an hour - done.

I don't think there is any. It appears to be nothing more than a heavy duty armor all.

I saw a YouTube video of a guy putting this on his Aston martins rims and they held up nicely. Surprised at such a product from armor all

Agreed - it's amazing and works fantastic. My wife's 330 would have grey coated wheels a day after washing. Now she can go 2-3 weeks and they wheels still look clean. It's the ONLY Armor All product I've ever used. It dries on and does not leave your wheels slimy or greasy. If you put too much it will drip onto your tire and make it a little white where it dries but it can be washed off if necessary. I used it on all my cars and have since it came out a year or 2 ago.

There seems to be a stigma on this forum against Armor All, but I love their products and have used them for years.

All this stuff about it being "bad" for your wheels or tires is silly.

Armor all doesn't make "bad" products...well it might I'm not sure but any company has bad products. Point is that in detailing standards they don't make good products. It's all preference

The problem with the wheel protectant is that you need to apply it after every time you wash your wheels. Which can get real expensive if you wash your car often.

It is basically a spray-on coating for wheels that makes it so brake dust has a hard time sticking. You can see the coating on the wheel (makes it look kinda matte) and the surface feels different to the touch. This product has nothing in common with the normal Armor-All protectant for plastics/rubber/vinyl.

I read some reviews where some say it leaves a white film on black wheels, others say no. I've got mine Powder coated with 40% gloss, using Chemical Bro's. black light on them to help protect, but they get dusty as hell.

Anyone try these on Powder coated wheels?

i've used this a month ago, and this stuff works. I picked it up for like 4/can on target when they were on sale for some reason.

I just traded my silver ZCP rims to another forum member yesterday, and the spots that I missed were visible, they had a lot of brake dust on it. The areas that ArmorAll covered, CLEAN!

i don't think armorall was the problem. the problem were people putting too much of it on their car back in the days. it's not the best stuff for interior IMHO. i prefer leatherique or Lexol however.

Armorall has good results but it makes the tires turn brown after using for a while. It's all what you see is good enough for your car

Been using this for a while now on my powdercoated black zcp since I'm lazy to clean/wax the zcp. If you over spray, gravity will pull it down into a puddle at the bottom. That will leave a white stain when it dries (probably hard to see if your wheels are not black).

I heard from someone that some armor all products (not this one) will stain your clear bra.

I've been using this for a month or so now and I does work really well. You'll still get break dust but it doesn't collect and form small piles.
