Few questions about spacers
Thinking about going the 15f/12r route on my oem 220's but have a few general questions.
Will running spacers on stock suspension make fenders gap appear bigger? For those with spacers, have you noticed additional road grime and rock chips on your side skirts and rear lower bumper? Any reason to with H&R over TMS or vice versa? Thanks! |

I don't think the gap will change.
Pushing the wheels further out will always add to the possibility of more debris hitting the car. I would go with Turner spacers over ALL others. |

I run the 15/12 set up with the ms spacers. Not enough road grime to make a difference. It makes the car look way better for sure. Only reason I went with ms is because they are black and blend in better imo.

Should be fine. I bought some "lightweight" RE spacers and they were cracked and separated majorly when I went to change wheels after running them a year or so. Never had a problem with H&Rs and the little debris increase shouldn't bother you but if it does get a clear bra on the susceptible parts.

I have MS and Turner spacers in 10, 12, and 15 mm thickness. On the same wheels with any of the MS spacers I get a vibration above 75 mph whereas with the Turner spacers I get zero vibration. I stand behind my statement - Turner spacer quality >> MS spacer quality.

Once upon a time I ran with Turner spacers, 12.5mm front and rear. It improved the stance and closed the gap a bit, more noticeable on the rear. I also had MS 12r, 15f on my last M3. I didn't have any issues with either brand. The Turner's are machined beautifully, they'd be my choice. Here's some old pics with the Turner 12.5mm's to give you an idea, stock suspension.

So I've had my H&R Spacers (12mm/15mm) on for about 2 weeks now and I'm a little concerned about some vibration I'm having. I used the best practices to install. Cleaned off hubs good w/ wire brushes, applied anti-seize and longer bolts.
I can definitely tell a difference in vibration between 78-85mph on the highway. This is the flow of traffic in Atlanta before anyone tells me to slow down ![]() |
