I've heard good things about both. I drove akashes AA kit in NY, and the car drove well.

Haven't driven a car with an ESS kit yet, and haven't driven one with a VF kit yet. Both are on my list to drive when I have time.

Personally I like the looks of the AA manifold the best, but ESS has quite a few kits out there in comparison to others.

I'd say you can't go wrong with either blower, pick which ever one has the most local support for you, best price point, and obviously matches your needs in terms of power.

Also, I'd consider the Turner track pipes over the AA HFC X-pipe since the most important area to open up on the X-pipe where the primary cats are. You'll save more than $1,000 too.
I considered that option but was not ready to take the test pipes off for the smog test.

Since when does a money shift indicate a tuning/longevity issue?

I was quoted aprice for AA 535 stage1 kit which comes with the intercooler and other things that the Eas 535 stage 1 kit does not. The price difference is about 3000 between the two, but I was explained that AA system is a much superior system in all aspects of charging and engine longevity. Additionally, i was assured that the eas non intercooled unit pulls hard the inital times but after few pulls the unit heats up and fails to produce. Feed back from SC owners would be great.
The car is used for street dd driving, no track time. thanks
If anyone one has units for sale i would be interested in pricing aswell.
your price difference is wrong:

AA Stage 1: $ 13750

ESS VT1-535: $8290 (standard ESS, ECU cable) DIFFERENCE: $5460

ESS VT2-575: $ 10790 (standart ESS, ECU cable, intercooled) DIFFERENCE: $2960

so the intercooled ESS system is still $3000 cheaper than the AA, the VT1 ESS is over $5000 bugs cheaper! (and that's a lot of money!!)

Get your facts straight.... the GPower kit that blew the engine was running meth without having the correct map... and even then GPower were good enough to resolve the issue.

And if you really want to get into dick swinging you can run your car up against mine at the Nurburgring any time you want.
There are 2 VT600s over here and they are only good for 580bhp.

They both have 200cpi cats. Not sure where the AA HFCS are, but with the Turner pipes, they're in the secondary position which doesn't seem to affect performance as much.

The AA kit seems alot more expensive than the ESS. I want to SC with ESS but there's no installer close by to Biloxi or New Orleans.

Ours are placed in the front with V-band so they can be easily swapped to straight pipes.

The V-Bands are the way to go for a long lasting leak free seal with easy removeability. A number of people using the Turner test pipes had to weld them for a leak free fit, which makes going back much more difficult and expensive. On the other hand, V-Bands add to the initial cost.

Aha! Didn't realy know that a motor with a G power SC was blown as well!
Was talking about another kit nice to know that.

I ran Meth on my setup for 30k KM without the need for any further mapping or tuning with 0 issues

NurBurgRing!! A good driver doesn't need extra 10 or 20hp to run another car with identical power on the track

I was talking street racing 70km/h to 300km/h! Pure power race! DCT vs DCT

Hey man, here's the last word. You get clowns on here that will tell you if you don't go with one kit over another your an idiot and the only reason they do that is because they feel the need to justify their purchase more. I have a Gintani kit on my car and to be honest I feel like they are the least represented kit on this forum. Why? I'm not sure but I heard all sorts of rumors and some members can be very biased on here. I'm glad I didn't listen to all that nonsense because I did a little research and spoke to the Gintani team, seen the quality work they do and in the end am extremely happy with my decision. I've seen VF cars and ESS cars out here in so cal and spoken with a chap who had a g power kit. Trust me when I say that no matter what kit you get, they ALL perform about the same and I guarantee you that you will not be the baddest thing out there on the street. Period! Just do a little homework in terms of talking to the actual company and in the end just go with whoever makes you feel most comfortable. If you end up getting AA you aren't going to have any regrets just like if you go with ESS. 99 percent of the time you won't be rolling up to a stop light against another M who has a different kit on his/her car and if you ever do and the kits are a comparable level, it's gonna come down to driver and supporting mods (tires, x pipe, yada yada yada) so just be happy with what you get and enjoy the hell out of it! Best of luck

Straight line race proves what kit puts down more power when running identical boost and this is what i was trying to tell.
