P Zero Corsa System design patterns

Dose anyone know why the design patterns are different on Pirelli P Zero Corsa System. Let say 255/35ZR/19 have different design patterns compare to 265, 285/35ZR19 and these are the same model. Is it dangerous to run two different design patterns?

The front tires (255/35) have directional pattern in order to provide a more precise steering. They are also designed to perform better in the rain. The rear tires (285/35) have better grip. These are the stock tires on the M3 GTS. I am also planning to try them when my front tires are worn out. They don't have so much grip like Michelin Cup, but they are better in the rain. On the other hand, they are not that good in the rain in comparison with a sport tire like Michelin SuperSport or Pirelli Zero, but they have better grip when dry.

For me they seem like a good compromise if you use your car as a DD and don't have a second set of wheels for the track. Apart from that they fit perfectly on the 359m wheels and don't look so stretched like the stock wheels.

How many miles you think these tires will last, is 60 AAA tread wear rating. About 3000 miles or less?

I've got them on my car now in 255/285 combo. Fronts are directional and rears are asymmetric. I've used them as an all around tire biased (obviously) towards performance/grip after my AD08s wore out. They're great tires with loads of grip (they exceeded the AD08s in my track experience), are very durable and are reasonably comfortable. I've got about 6 - 7,000 miles on them and still going strong (although only two track days.)

I can check tread depths tonight and post up my wear thus far if you are interested.

I don't have exact numbers about how long they last, but I've heard positive things in this matter. It depends if you track them and how you drive. From what I read till now, they would last almost as long as a normal sport tire. I am not yet sure if they have so much profile depth when new.

Edit:
Corsa sys has 8/32" tread depth
PS2 9,5/32" and 8,5/32"
PSS 10/32''
Cup 6,5/32''

It is safe to run different patterns front and rear with the Corsa System tires. The purely directional pattern should be used only on the front. The Asymmetric or Asymmetric & directional version should be used on the rear. If you are running all the same, go with one of the Asymmetric patterns.

The 285/35R19 for example is both asymmetric and directional, which means they have to have separate right and left part numbers.

Don't expect too much from the tread life, although results will vary.
