This is a M5 wheel and a stock M5 wheel is around $900 I think. I think for the money and quality its well worth it for M5/M6 owners or M3 owners that want to mod their stock wheels and you get the full SMG shifter covered with brake boot so it all matches. Maybe a group buy could get everyone a better deal. That price included shipping for both ways.

Somehow doesn't look that even. I had a steering wheel rewrapped by Dallas Custom Steering wheel and they strip off the existing cover. Doesn't look like they stripped off the existing cover.

Its probably the picture, they stripped the existing leather as the alcantara wouldnt stick as well without stripping. The work is well done and wrapped tight. This is a E60 M5 steering wheel so it might look different to some.

Are you sure? In your first picture at the 1:30 and 5:00 position it looks like you can see the stock leather cover seam through the alcantara. Its probably not as noticeable in real life as in pictures. Looks like they did nice work on the stitching. I'm sure the whole thing looks better in person, I don't think alcantara or suede photograph very well.

I think it looks great. I've had my alcantara performance wheel for over a year and it still looks brand new. It stays nice as long as your as you keep your hands clean.

Who did the work?

I had gotten it done by Cobywheel. He has done numerous E46 M3 wheels as well with a few E9X wheels. I think this was the first or second M5 E60 wheel he has done so it was a bit risky. There were some rough times with the owner on what I wanted and what I was told and some miscommunication. Long story short, it worked out well. Hopefully mine holds up a year or 2 and I would just get it redone as the new material feels so damn good and much better than any leather. Grip is amazing and feel is pure sports car like.
