Unfortunately due to a new arrival to our family the time has come to buy something more sensible with four doors…. I’m absolutely gutted as this has been an amazing car and made me wonder why I hadn’t purchased an M car before !!
This car is in mint condition for its age and was purchased by me as an AUC from BMW in November 2011.
•Jerez black metallic (actually really dark blue)
•NA 4.0 V8 420bhp which revs to scintillating 8,400rpm
•2008 08 plate (registered June 2008)
•7 speed MDCT transmission with drive logic
•1 previous owner from new before me
•Tax until June 2013
•MOT until June 2013
•13 months fully comprehensive BMW main dealer warranty
•Recent rear Continental sport contact 3 tyres (<1000 miles ago) and good Michelin Pilot Sports on the front (still approx 4mm remaining)
•Tracker fitted and activated
This has all the standard features that you would expect from a top of the range BMW including ; electrically adjustable full leather, sat nav, electric windows, central locking etc and the excellent M drive which allows you to select all your favourite settings for traction control, EDC, steering weight, throttle map and gearbox shift mode/speed at the push of a button on the steering wheel.
The big benefit of this car is that it really is fully loaded and benefits from the following factory fitted options (totalling £12k on the original invoice which makes this nearly a £64k car)
•Extended leather – centre console, glove box and door cards are covered with additional leather. This looks much better than standard
•Aluminium shadow trim – brushed aluminium trim
•19" M double spoke alloys
•Seven speed MDCT – dual clutch gearbox with drivelogic function that allows speed of shifts to be changed. Can also be used in fully automatic mode
•EDC – electronic damper control with three settings, comfort, normal and sport
•Adaptive headlights – pivot with steering inputs to help “see around corners”
•High beam assist – automatically dips the high beam when cars come the other way.
•PDC (park distance control) front and rear
•Seat heating front
•Split folding rear seat
•Exterior electric folding mirrors
•Exterior trim high gloss shadow line
•Sliding front arm rest
•Climate comfort front windscreen
•Sun protection glass
•6 disc CD changer
•LOGIC 7 stereo
•TV tuner (digital)
•USB input for iPod
Don’t let the slightly higher than average mileage put you off, this car has wanted for nothing and even has 13 months of BMW warranty and breakdown recovery included (I purchased a two year warranty when I bought the car). In my ownership the engine oil, diff oil and brake fluid have been changed
The only two things to draw your attention to are the slightly corroded rims (all four and a common issue on the mirror polished rims) these can be refurbished with a paint finish that looks almost identical but is much more durable for around £600 at specialists such as Lepsons. The front brakes pads are also showing as due in approx 2,800 miles according to the iDrive (although there is plenty of pad material left looking at them visually).
I have taken both of these things into consideration in how I have priced the car.
No dreamers please, this is a serious car and as such I can’t allow anyone to test drive it without fully comp insurance, I will however happily take anyone out for test drive to show how good this car really is and what all the fuss is about.
I’m looking for £26,000 or very near offer.
