Sometimes call flyer's gloves or just nomex gloves. Should cost around $20 and army pilots use them so they are fire proof. Get the gray/green ones...the black ones do not have nomex on the palms.

How to remove those plastic covers on the front seats to get access to the bolts? Hate to admit my stupidity, but I spent half an hour with no results - this is maddening! Please give me a detailed explanation of how to remove them.

Removing BMW interiors can be stressful. The sound of crunching and breaking is normal in many cases. My mantra of pull...and if doesn't come off...pull harder usually works pretty well with no visible damange.

Forgive me if this has been discussed I haven't gone through the 400+ post in this thread but I am looking for a harness that A)I can use with my stock seats, B) is Hans device compatible.
Looks like the Quick Fit Pro ticks all the boxes except it's not offered for the E92. Any alternatives? |

Kaiv, you are correct that the Quick Fit PRO for the newer Mini Cooper would be the one to get. Even for the E92. user Thorny has E92 and has pictures on this thread of it.

I do the same thing, it's usually the most difficult when you're too gentle.

Well...HMS is sold out of the mini quick fit pro's...1-2 weeks until they are back in stock. I suspect that we're making lots of mini owner's mad...and sore!

Hrrmmm. I want a harness to be strapped in... but also for safety purposes (and to run a Hans). IDK if running a harness designed for an entirely different car is great idea.
