Would this be rice if installed on a vert?

It goes without saying, you cant put a big wing on a convertible. It'll look weird, and be completely pointless because convertibles aren't track cars.

Do you guys think this hood would be the same thing? I think it looks really nice, but I dont want to rice out my E93

the hood would 100% not be rice(as long as painted), and the spoiler is doable!

I wanted to do a wing but they are just not in my budget, and im not fully confident about how the convertible top mechanism and movement would like the inceasesed weight hanging down (and also the increased amount of space you would need behind the car when it folds back to open the top)
i went with a Dukedynamoics carbon fiber CSL style E93 trunk though.

OP: I think... if you have to ask that it might be rice, you know deep down in your heart it's rice. However, everyone's inner car demon has different levels of rice tolerance... so :shrug:

What! The chrome grills don't make it classy!!!? Seriously, I can't think of another reason why some marketing hack at BMW added them. Can't wait to remove the chrome grills off mine.

I have the same Vorsteiner hood painted the same way and I like it. Constantly get compliments on it.

I don't think it's rice at all... I think painting a bunch of stuff matte black is cheap and ricey, but that's just me

How in the hell is a color ricey? It's a color for god sakes. It doesnt have 55 hood vents, a 70 inch wing and underbody lights. It's a color. Metallic gray is WAY ricey, man.

I don't know. At first glance, I don't like them. It dosen't look ricey, per se, but it does distracts a little bit. When I look at the picture, I immediately look at the vents. haha. And that's a coupe too. Imagine putting it on a convertible. In my opinion, when you have your top down, it'll look 'classy' in the back and 'agressive' in the front. You need to put something in the rear to complement the hood.

All in all, though, it's your money. Spend on what looks good to you. There's bound to be a single hater out there.

The Vorsteiner GTS hood is the best looking vented hood available now, if you have the money, go grap one, just ignore those haters just because he can't install that hood on his E90 lol since only available for E92/E93.

This is always my rule of thumb. If you have to ask then you already know the answer. Hopefully you figure out what you want to do!

Do what makes you feel good friend. I think it looks good but also think just plain stock looks good too. but it definitely does not take away, IMO. There is no set line between rice/non-rice. Conservative traditional people are going to think rice while people that like to stand out or push the envelope will say they dont mind it and even like it. If you like it, DO IT! NOW!

I have that hood on my E93 and I love it! Along with the bootlid trunk match. I think it makes the car look more aggressive and nicer all around. I painted it and left the vents carbon. My car is jet black.
